Here is a simple note of clarification on my charges for postage & handling for my auction items. Small items, no handling fee, only material cost. For either envelope or paper used to wrap the item, at $0.50 only (regardless of size).
However, for items that require me to go to the Post Office in order to post, will be charged a $0.50 handling fee, on top of the material cost and postage.
As I do not have a postal weighing machine at home, I normally gave a rough gauge of the postage pricing and after weighing, should there be excess in payment, I will refund my buyers by placing the money in the envelope or box.
Yes, I do that and have done so several times already. Why? Cos I am a good seller. : ) I am not trying to earn extra $ through postage charges.
As for the handling fee of $0.50, it's only a formality as I need to take a bus/MRT to Yishun (from now on, I can go to Sun Plaza, about 15 mins' walk), queue for 15 - 30 mins to weigh and then wrap the item before I can post it out. (With a child in tow.) Hope it appease my buyers about the $0.50. : )
As I also "shop" in Yahoo Auction, I do not want to be taken advantage of in any ways. Therefore, I will not do it to my buyers.
Hope this clears up any query you may have over my charges.
Thank you.
